Description

For :iconvoltecpower:'s Pulseman birthday ArtJam.

May 30, one more year of life for the Electrace guy Pulseman!

I admit I didn't have many ideas for my piece, so I did everything I could. Argh, I know Kiyoko's tiny, but I just made her way TOO tiny. Can't apply height, pff. Now she is TRYING to place a party hat on Pulseman's head... and her size won't let her, lol.

And Pulseman's gift choice wasn't in vain. I had/have a slightly DS-shaped portable minigame like that. I don't fully remember all its details, so I did my best by memory.
At 9, I was at the hospital with acute appendicitis, and I was aware I would have my belly cut open in a surgery (Mostly because the doctor was insensitive enough to come in and tell my parents infront of me that a surgery was the only way, heh.), but imagine that on a 9-year old who never went to the doctor besides to take shots.

Later, I was gifted a dark gray portable minigame, with around 4 to 6 (Can't remember exactly) classical games, like Tetris, Snake, etc. Despite its simplicity, it helped me gain courage (Dunno if "courage" is the right word, I was still freaked out at the thought of the surgery.) to face the hard time I was at the time, and helped me go through such traumatic experience(s). Later, even when I stopped playing it, I still had some "sympathy" for that little thing, pretty much it had emotional value... However, it's been years since last time I may ever seen it, and I have no clue where it is now or if I still have it at all. Either way, if it's here, okay, it has emotional value to me even if old, if not, okay too, I'm glad to think it may be helping another child like it did to me.

So, despite it's simplicity, I thought it was a good gift choice for Pulseman. You can see he's still taking the ribbon off it (And the orange paper from the decorative paper), and judging for the screen, it seems to have a mid-play Tetris game, looks like a certain spyware Bat minded to test the game first, lol. XD

Either way, many years of life Pulseman!

(Done by reluctant pen-tablet on Photoshop 6.0)

Pulseman is (c) Game Freak.
Kiyoko is (c) Me.
